The astronomy elective in the New Senior Secondary physics curriculum includes the introduction of the celestial sphere, the daily motion of the sky at various latitudes and the yearly motion of the sun. The digitial starlab provides attractive and effective simulations that serve as a very useful teaching tool for these concepts. About 40 students enjoyed the experience that consolidated their learning in ordinary lessons. It was a shame that the weather did not cooperate and an observation session could not be organised immediately afterward.
