Transit of Venus Observation (6-6-2012)

With over 10 student helpers and the use of 7 telescopes (up to 150mm aperture), over 200 people in school witnessed this extraordinary astronomical event - making it the biggest astronomical observation activity ever held in our school. The climax occurred at around 12:29pm when Venus was about to leave the sun. Under high magnification, the atmosphere of Venus was briefly seen - exactly in the same way as it was discovered. However, no black-drop effect was clearly observable. Transit of Venus will occur again in 2117. Good luck!
