As part of the talk series on World Observatories, we invited the chairman of Galaxy Scientific Group to share his experience in building observatories in Tibet. We were astonished by the incredible beauty of the Tibetan landscape and admired the courage and perseverance required to build some of the highest observatories in the world. In the evening, we observed the most beautiful landmarks on the moon near to the terminator (e.g. Apennine Mountains, Alpine Valley, Ptolemaeus, Alphonsus and Arzachel). The view under the binoviewer was breathtaking!
