Mars was closest to Earth since 2003 and will never be this close until 2035! More than 30 people had a blast in our night of planetary wonders on the night after Mars at Opposition, including current students, alumni, friends of alumni, teachers and their families, and a few members of the public. The global sandstorm made surface details harder to discern but it was certainly BIG. We also enjoyed watching the majestic ringed planet Saturn dotted with numerous moons, as well as Io and its shadow racing across the disk of Jupiter.
