It was our annual winter star party with the 18 inch telescope, and we had an 8 inch refractor joining this year! About twenty objects were observed, starting with M42 on which we spent at least 1 hour. Using an arsenal of 'weapons' to tease out the details, it was the most loved object of the night as usual. We had fun finding the little cluster NGC 2158 next to M35, watching one of the reddest stars in the sky (Crimson Star), searching for the nebulosity in the Rosette Nebula, and watching some new objects like the Christmas Tree Cluster. We also enjoyed the Eskimo Nebula, M82, ET cluster, etc. The party ended with the rising moon and saturn. See you next year!
