A crackling sunspot was on display and we used various equipment to observe. The Herschel wedge produced a very contrasty image and we particularly liked the details of the penumbra. The granulation on the photosphere was never more obvious in other instruments. This was the first time that any of us watched a big sunspot at high magnification, and we all enjoyed it enormously. We also took a mosaic using a 5 inch refractor and a webcam, and the result was nice due to reasonable seeing condition. We also observed in hydrogen-alpha wavelength but the lack of huge prominence was a slight disappointment.
